01Who we are
Markus Marketing is a digital marketing studio at 1 Kathrine St, Chatswood NSW 2067, working with clients across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, markus.marketing. We have kept it short, because we collect very little.
02What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide it, and your message. When the form is submitted, our server also records the sender's IP address. We use that IP address for one purpose only - preventing abuse of the form, such as spam and automated submissions.
Browsing the site does not require an account and collects no personal information beyond the standard hosting logs described in section 06.
03How we use it
Contact form details are used to respond to your enquiry and to carry on any conversation you start with us. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first, and we do not use your details for any purpose unrelated to your enquiry.
04Disclosure and service providers
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. The only third parties who handle information from this site are the service providers who keep it running - in practice, our hosting provider, which processes form submissions and keeps standard server logs as part of operating the website. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it.
05Security and storage
Pages and form submissions on this site are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Within the business, access to personal information is limited to our employees and representatives, and anyone requesting access to stored data must first provide a valid identity document. We keep enquiry details only for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and our records of it.
06Cookies and logs
This website sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. The only records created when you browse are the standard access logs kept by our hosting provider - these include the requesting IP address, the pages requested and the time of the request, and they are used for security and to keep the site running reliably.
07Australian Privacy Principles
We handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you believe we have fallen short of them, tell us through the contact form and we will investigate and respond.
08Access and correction
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.
